On the whole, though, Linha De Passe presents a winning portrait of everyday desperation that will keep you hooked throughout its slightly generous running time. As he did with Babel and The Motorcycle Diaries, meanwhile, composer Gustavo Santaolalla provides a plaintive score that subtly lends pathos and poetry to the occasionally sombre action.
